HEALTHY Ice Cream Flavours Recipe!

What is summer without ice cream? NO NO! What in the world is life without ice cream??? Honestly I don't know and I don't want to know either! That being said, do you know what I do know? I know that a life with an extremely delicious and HEALTHY ice cream is even better than everything else!!!!

Soooo guess what? I have 1 amazing way you can make so many different healthy ice cream flavours, I will show you my 3 favourite top flavours though! And guess what else? I will also give you the base for the ice cream flavours so if you want any extra different flavours, you will know what to do!

I am going to show you my 3 favourite flavours for as the moment, Strawberry Flavour, Pineapple Flavour & Cookie and Nut Butter Flavour!

The base....

The base to all these flavours is going to be...... BANANAS! The reason why bananas are so important here is since we're not using any type of cream, whipped cream, sugars, butter etc, we need an ingredient that will give us a creamy texture. Some people like using avocado, sweet potato or pumpkin to add that texture but I personally think bananas just add an extra flavour + sweetness that neither the avocado and the pumpkin or the sweet potato could add. But it's absolutely up to you!


Make it your own way!

Yes yes, just like I already said, you can make your own flavours based on your own taste and on what yo have at home! As long as you have the base which is... you know what:) you can play with it the way you want! Instead of the fruits I added to the base, you can add different fruits or ingredients. Such as Mangoes, Blueberries, chocolate chips, coco powder and then you will get chocolatet flavour, maple syrup, nuts, or anything you wish for. This is your chance to be creative!


Alright, enough with the chit chatting and let's get ice creaming!

 

WRITTEN RECIPE

For 2 flavour ice cream loaf pan;

Ingredients:

1st flavour) Strawberry :

-1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries

-1 cup frozen bananas (about 2-3 bananas)

-1/4 - 1/2 cup nut milk (I prefer cashew milk because it's creamier) -1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)


2nd flavour) Pineapple:

-1 1/2 cups frozen cubic pineapples pieces

-1 cup frozen bananas (about 2-3 bananas)

-1/4 - 1/2 cup nut milk (I prefer cashew milk because it's creamier) -1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

 

3rd flavour) Cookie and Nut Butter Flavour: - Mini loaf pan size (separately)

-2 cups frozen bananas (about 2-3 bananas)

-3/4 cup cookies of choice broken into pieces (I used home made cookies)

-1/4 - 1/2 cup nut milk (I prefer cashew milk because it's creamier) -1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)


Instructions:

(For all of the flavours, it's the same steps but separately!!!)

  1. Blend all of the ingredients in a food processor until creamy and smooth. You can blend in a "strong" blender. What I mean by strong is that it won't break after one mix of frozen fruits.

  2. Freeze in the freezer for about 3 hours or until nice and ice creamy. If you're not planning to serve the ice cream right away, just take it out of the freezer about 30 mins before serving.
