Healthy Whole Wheat No Knead Bagels

(scroll down for the recipe)

I dont know about you but I love bagels but the thing is, I don't know what I like more, eating bagels or making them. Neither way, this recipe is just WOWOWOOOWOWOWOWOWOOWOWOWOW! It's so easy to make, it's healthy, there's no yeast, can be vegan and its absolutely delicious. It only takes 5 minutes to prep it and then you pop it in the oven and BOOM, you have bagels.

This recipe will make 4 medium size bagels but you can double, triple or do what ever you want to the recipe in order to make more bagels.

Now let's talk flour, I used whole wheat flour but you can easily change the flour into spelt flour or even do a combo. If you want to use all purpose flour, you may have to add a little bit more flour in the end. So just do the same steps and if the dough is too soft in the end, add a bit more flour. The reason all purpose flour is treated a little differently is because all purpose is lighter and not as "thirsty" so it may not need as much yogurt and liquids. So, you have 2 options, add more flour or less yogurt.

And remember! It's very important to sift the flour. No matter what flour you are using but especially when using whole wheat or spelt flour. To read more about why sifting is so important click here. Theres a page taking about why sifting is so important in this ebook at the end.

Speaking of the ingredients we're using, let's talk yogurt. There's literally a billion types of yogurts in the world and let me tell ya something, they all work! But! there's something you want to pay attention to. When I used vanilla flavoured yogurt, the bagels were still good but it had that little weird taste that just didn't feel right. What I'm trying to say is that flavoured yogurts will do their job but the taste will be a bit weird. On the other hand, we have plain yogurts and they are just perfect! So, if you want a perfect result, use plain yogurt. And for my vegan friends, simply use vegan plain yogurt. Sounds good so far? Great!

Now, for all of my fancy and creative bakers, here's what you can do! If you want more interesting bagels, you can literally add anything to the bagels dough. You can add raisins, cranberries, chocolate chips, any extra seasonings etc. You can also top your bagel with anything you want, honey, maple syrup, sesame seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, extra salt, etc.

You can go as crazy and as simple here! And if you are going crazy, make sure you send me a pic of your crazy bagel!

Sooooo are you guys ready for the recipe? HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
