Pita Pizza in 5 mins!

I don't know about you, but sometimes me and my family are just craving for a good, tasty and fast meal with what ever ingredients we have at home and this recipe is literally our #1! Its based on basic ingredients and its just WOWWOOWOWOWOWOOWWOOW!

I really dont like calling this recipe a recipe because you can really play around with what ever you have in the kitchen. It's a very flexible recipe! Almost no rules here:)

I usually use a pita or a tortilla but you can even use a slice of bread or an actual pizza dough. You can really make this recipe healthier or not healthy according on what you will use for the ingredients. This is all about assembling the right flavours. I like to make mine the healthiest as possible. So, for that, as you see in the pic, I used a pita, tomatoes (no sauce needed), some spinach for topping (you can add any toppings you wish), and I added some cheese for my family:) cause I am not a fan of cheese.



Also, if you are vegan, you can either not add cheese or add vegan cheese! That also works great.



Now, for this recipe, we will make it in a sauce pan on top of medium heat stove and this will make the cooking process much faster! If you have time, you can pop it in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 5-10 mins but its really not necessary. That being said, if you're making a large amount, let's say 5 pita pizzas or more and you don't have enough sauce pans to use at the same time, you can use the oven method and at that case, it will be faster.


Alrighty, enough with the talking and let's get cooking!

 

RECIPE:

(for one pita pizza)

Ingredients:

👍1 1/2 tsp olive oil

👍One pita

👍A large tomato

👍Some spinach leaves

👍about 1/3-1/2 cup grated cheese of your choice

👍1/2 tsp garlic powder

👍Pinch of salt

👍Pinch of pepper


Instructions:

1. Preheat stove to medium heat and place a medium size pan on top and pour olive oil.

2. Slice tomatoes into thin circles.

3. Place the pita in the pan on top of the pan on top of the preheated stove and cook for 2 mins or until gets a bit crispy on one side.

4. Flip the pita, and place the sliced tomatoes, spinach, grated cheese on top of the pita with this order! Sprinkle the garlic powder, salt and black pepper on top.

5. Cover with a lid and let cook for about 5 mins or until cheese is melted.

And that's it! Enjoy your pita pizza.
